COVID-19 content production project 2021

Funded by International Media Support (IMS) and implemented via Nukta Habari, this initiative produced informational, educational, and analytical content on COVID-19 in Tanzania. The project aimed to educate the public on health guidelines such as handwashing, social distancing, and mask-wearing and amplify community voices by sharing local perspectives and solutions to mitigate the pandemic’s impact.


Impact: Informed communities on practical and locally relevant COVID-19 prevention strategies and strengthened public understanding and engagement with health guidance.

Tiktok Election Project 2025
TikTok collaborated with NuktaFakt, a Nukta Africa Swahili fact-checking initiative, to support election integrity efforts ahead of Tanzania’s October 2025 general election. As part of this collaboration, TikTok launched an in-app Election Center in Kiswahili to help users access accurate and reliable election-related information
