In November 2021, Nukta Africa, in partnership with Purpose Ltd, launched a COVID-19 fact-checking initiative through NuktaFakti to address misinformation and disinformation related to the pandemic in Tanzania. The project focused on timely verification of COVID-19 information and the production of educational content to improve public understanding. Through this initiative, Nukta Africa supported informed decision-making and promoted adherence to recommended public health guidelines.

Impact: We debunked false claims and fake news related to COVID-19 and  educated the public on verifying information using reliable tools and techniques.
